Hi, I'm one of many users who has a problem with the
Geforce4 series and the Sony VPL-HS10 projector with DVI-D.
Native resolution of the projector is 1366x768 at 56Hz (no typo). The projector has two modes for accepting digital video: Digital GBR and Computer.
Unfortunately, in neither of these modes does the EDID of the projector report 1366x768 (or similar) to the graphics card. ATI drivers seem not to care, as they allow the full panel resolution to be set despite this EDID reporting. nVidia drivers apparently do not (as of 44.03). Is there some workaround for this using powerstrip, or some other way to turn off EDID checking?
I've been a registered Powerstrip user for 3 years and have always found it to be an indispensible utility, and one that usually exceeds my expectations by a long shot. I have searched for a solution (short of a new gfx card) without success for two months.
